LADIES IN PROPERTY GATHER FOR EVENING

OF INSPIRATIONAL NETWORKING AT

IPSWICH TOWN HALL

22nd May 2018

Over 50 women from the property sector in Suffolk enjoyed an evening of inspirational networking at the seventh Ladies in Property Suffolk (LiPS) event, held earlier this month (Tuesday 8th May) at Ipswich Town Hall.

The LiPS group was founded 3 years ago, to provide a networking space for women in the construction industry and to give them the opportunity to form strategic business relationships and friendships.

The event included a presentation from Sophie Edmond of

My Confidence Matters, who talked about body language and positivity in the workplace, and also Andrew Beale, Deputy Town Sergeant, who spoke about the 150th anniversary of the Town Hall, and gave delegates an all-access tour through the iconic building.

Organiser Jac Clark said of the evening: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been able to hold our seventh event at the Ipswich Town Hall, which is celebrating such a significant milestone this year.

“It is extremely important that women, in an industry dominated by men, are given the opportunity to network and unite with other women in this industry. We are thrilled that we are so fortunate to be able to provide this to them through LiPS and that women feel empowered by attending our events.”

The event was sponsored by Boot Construction, Concertus Design and Property Consultants and Prominent.

The first event was held in June 2015 and has grown year on year, with over 60 women attending the event. It continues to provide a unique networking opportunity to women in land, property, construction and facilities management who are welcome to attend the free event.
