Ladies In Property Suffolk gather for an evening of networking in the new Breast Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital
27th April 2023
On Wednesday 26th April, East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust hosted our 12th event at Ipswich Hospital, in the new £5.3m state of the art Breast Care Centre.

The Centre opened in January this year and we are the first non NHS event to be hosted there so we are very privileged.
It was an exciting opportunity to learn about the building of the centre from Cara Gosbell and Emily Marsh.
The centre was made possible thanks to a partnership between NHS funding and the Blossom Appeal, a fundraising team organised by Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Mandy Jordan Associate Director of Charities and Voluntary Services at ESNEFT shared some of the fundraising efforts including abseiling down the maternity block!

The breast care centre aims to provide a warm and inclusive as well as tranquil space for patients and Kim Collingridge the Lead Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Trust advised on the difference the centre will make for breast care here in Suffolk.

The event began at 6pm with the opportunity to network with light refreshments, followed by the three presentations and a tour of the unit.

In addition a member of LiPs offered to collect any unwanted or preloved bras on behalf of the Against Cancer appeal - Bra Recycling - Against Breast Cancer .

The event was free to attend but we encourage donations to the Blossom Appeal and had some items for sale on the night.
If you would like to donate online click here.

Our sponsors for this event was Castons, who funded the event with Prominent PR providing the marketing.
